Bermudian driver Kiwon Waldron was denied by the finest of margins at Harrah’s Hoosier Park in Indiana, finishing fourth in a pulsating photo finish in race seven.
Taking the reins of Odds On Candy in the Pace Class contest, Waldron produced a fierce drive down the home straight, going stride-for-stride with the leaders in one of the most tightly contested finishes on the card.
Waldron tripped the beam in a blistering time of 1:52.2—missing out on the victory by just a tenth of a second behind winner Tellit Candy, driven by John De Long, who clinched top spot in 1:52.1.
Despite setting a blistering tempo into the final stretch, the fractional deficit proved decisive in a blanket finish, pushing Waldron and Odds On Candy just outside the top three.
