Bermuda was firmly represented at the table in Mexico City as Concacaf hosted its high-profile W Professional Football Development Seminar. The two-day summit brought together league directors, club licensing managers, and Member Association representatives from across the region to drive the continued growth and commercialization of the women’s game.
The seminar served as the official launch pad for the first-ever Concacaf Women’s Club Licensing Regulations. This historic framework is engineered to support all 41 Member Associations in elevating standards, strengthening domestic club environments, and building a sustainable foundation for long-term professionalization.
Bermuda’s delegation featured Shequita Parson, Women’s and Legends Scholarship Committee Chair, alongside Project Coordinator MoZiah Selassie. The duo engaged in collaborative workshops, panel discussions, and expert data presentations from global soccer entities, including Stats Perform, Liga MX Femenil, and the NWSL.
The event concluded alongside a historic week for regional women’s club football, with the seminar taking place in tandem with the Concacaf W Champions Cup Finals in Mexico. The elite insights and regulatory benchmarks established in Mexico City provide Bermuda with an invaluable structural template as the island looks to strategically advance its own domestic talent pipeline.
