Regulations for new rideshare operators tabled; Minister suggests new operators could be up and running by May

Transport Minister Owen Darrell tabled regulations today, which give taxi drivers a very brief window to claim digital app-based transport requests, before they are offered to the new operators.
Minister Darrell says applications will start being accepted shortly – and depending on applicants we could see new operators up and running by May.
