Curtis Dickinson denies actively recruiting from OBA ranks

And, he tells us, it’s ‘nonsense’ to suggest he is buying his way to the PLP leadership role by funding memberships

Curtis Dickinson went on record today to say there has been no effort on his part to bring in former OBA members to bolster his campaign to be leader of the PLP.

One of the things that prompted the PLP executive’s ill-fated move to try and amend party membership rules was an apparent influx of some former or present OBA members among the applications submitted by Mr Dickinson’s campaign.

He addresses the point in the first part of an interview with Gary Foster Skelton (WATCH above).

He goes on to compare the surge of support for his campaign to what has been happening in the US elections.

He also says that it is “nonsense” to suggest he is buying his way to the PLP leadership role by funding memberships.
