Fairmont Southampton, in collaboration with the Government of Bermuda London Office, will host a London-based recruitment and engagement event on Thursday, May 7, 2026, as part of a targeted effort to reconnect with Bermudians living abroad and invite them to be part of the resort’s highly anticipated 2026 reopening.
Set against the backdrop of a landmark $550 million redevelopment, the event positions Fairmont Southampton’s return not simply as a reopening, but as a defining moment for Bermuda – and a unique opportunity for Bermudians overseas to contribute to and grow within one of the island’s most significant hospitality transformations to date.
The evening will bring together Bermudians based in the United Kingdom, alongside students and professionals across a range of disciplines, for a structured and insight-led experience. Attendees will gain a first look at the reimagined resort, an understanding of the vision driving its next chapter, and visibility into the breadth of roles that will shape its return.
Importantly, the event offers early access – providing attendees the opportunity to meet key Fairmont Southampton leaders, introduce themselves ahead of broader recruitment efforts, and gain a meaningful edge as hiring activity accelerates in the months ahead.

The Government of Bermuda London Office, which serves as the Government’s diplomatic presence in the United Kingdom, is partnering on the initiative to support the continued engagement of Bermudians overseas with opportunities at home.
