Daniel Augustus produced a bogey-free final round to wrap up an emphatic six-stroke victory at the Johnnie Walker Classic, finishing on five under par at Ocean View Golf Course.
Building on his overnight lead following an opening two-under 68, Augustus barely put a foot wrong on Sunday. A clinical three-under 67, featuring three birdies and 15 pars, saw him pull comfortably clear of the chasing pack.
Nick Jones mounted a spirited final-day charge with a matching 67 to take solo second at one over par. Jones lit up the course with an eagle and three birdies, but two dropped shots kept him from genuinely threatening Augustus’ unblemished lead.
Chaka DeSilva and Mark Phillips shared third place at three over par after both carded turbulent rounds of 73, while Andrew Trott and Jonathan James finished tied for fifth on five over par.
