Women are being invited to step away from the demands of everyday life and make space for themselves at Space To Be, A Women’s Retreat, taking place on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8, 2026.
Created and hosted by consultant, facilitator, podcast host and joy practitioner Aderonke Bademosi Wilson, the retreat is designed to offer women a restorative and reflective experience centered on wellbeing, connection and joy.
“As women, we spend so much of our time taking care of responsibilities, supporting others and quickly moving from one commitment to the next,” said Ms. Bademosi Wilson. “Space To Be is an invitation to pause. It is a chance to reconnect with yourself, experience something different and consider what you want to make more space for in your life.”
The Saturday program will include a soothing sound bath by Healing II Healing Founder Tamala Dickinson, CMI, a guided tapping experience by founder and therapist of the Family Intimacy Centre, Dr. Saadia Bean, as well asfacilitated conversations and activities exploring joy, wellbeing and what helps women feel restored and nourished.
Participants will be encouraged to reflect on what matters most to them, what they may be ready to release and what they want to notice, name and nurture in their lives.
“Joy is not about pretending that life is perfect,” Ms. Bademosi Wilson added. “It is about recognizing what restores us, what connects us and what gives our lives meaning and then becoming more intentional about creating room for those things.”
Ms. Dickinson stated, “There is something empowering about taking time to pause. Through the sound bath, my intention is to hold sacred space where women can slow down and welcome deep rest. They can experience the restorative qualities of sound and silence, with the freedom to simply be.”
Dr. Bean added, “The brain, body, thoughts, and emotions all work together. They create happy or sad memories. Tapping, FasterEFT, is a way to clear unpleasant thoughts, feelings and memories. This method allows us to gather more peace and joy.”
On Sunday afternoon, November 8, participants will also have the option of joining a Mindful Photography Experience. Using their phones, participants will be encouraged to slow down, notice small details, follow their curiosity and experience the simple joy of seeing differently. No photography experience is required.
Aderonke concluded, “The intention of the weekend is for women to leave feeling rejuvenated, engaged and more connected to themselves, with a greater awareness of what brings them joy and what they want to carry forward into their everyday lives. Women of all ages are welcome.”
