Appeal for witnesses after two motorcyclists hurt

Shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, Police attended a traffic collision involving two motorcycles at the junction of Bishop Spencer Road and Palmetto Road, Pembroke.

It appears a 33-year-old female motorcycle rider was traveling west along Palmetto Road, when she attempted to negotiate a left hand turn onto Bishop Spencer Road. As she did so, a 42-year-old male motorcyclist, also traveling west on Palmetto Road, collided with her.

The male motorcyclist suffered a serious but non-life threatening head injury. The female bike rider sustained a back injury, the extent of which was unknown.

They were both transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The bike ridden by the male was unlicensed and uninsured.

The collision resulted in the roadway being closed for approximately three hours while the scene of the incident was forensically processed.
