Following the success of its first offering earlier this year, Six Weeks of Joy, an online programme and the in-person Three Hours of Joy, created by local consultant and facilitator Aderonke Bademosi Wilson, returns on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
The six-week programme invites participants to explore what joy means in their lives, become more intentional about noticing it and develop practical ways to create more space for joy in everyday life.
“Joy is often associated with the big moments in life, but so much of it can be found in the ordinary,” said Aderonke Bademosi Wilson. “Joy isn’t necessarily something we have to chase. More often than not, it’s something we learn to notice.”
Participants will meet online for 90 minutes each Saturday, combining conversation, guided reflection and practical activities. The programme explores six themes: Pure Joy, Joy and Freedom, Joy and Love, Joy and Gratitude, Joy and Being Still and Joy and You.
Aderonke stated, “During four of the six weeks, a different international expert will join me, sharing knowledge, perspectives and practical approaches related to the week’s theme.
“Research suggests that positive emotions can support wellbeing, strengthen our psychological and social resources and help build resilience, while intentionally noticing and appreciating positive experiences can help us experience them more fully.”
Ms. Bademosi Wilson concluded, “The online and in-person programmes held earlier this year, reinforced the value of paying attention to joy. This isn’t about being joyful all the time. It’s about noticing the moments that bring us joy, understanding what supports them and intentionally making more room for them in our lives.”
Six Weeks of Joy begins Saturday, September 19, 2026, and is delivered entirely online.
