Bermudian offshore powerboat racing celebrated a landmark afternoon on Florida’s Gulf Coast as Luis Martins and Nick Imprescia powered to victory at the Clearwater Offshore Nationals, while Steven Bridges and David Selley were crowned Super Stock National champions.
Piloting the S-12 Nuff Said, driver Martins and throttleman Imprescia delivered an imperious, lights-to-flag performance. Seizing control from the drop of the green flag, the pair handled choppy open-water conditions with ease, commanding the fleet throughout to take a wire-to-wire triumph.
Behind them, the S-25 Team Bermuda duo of Steven Bridges and David Selley produced a measured, tactical drive to claim third place.
Having arrived in Florida leading the overall standings, the podium finish was more than enough to secure the championship crown. It capped an extraordinary season of relentless consistency and blistering pace, officially confirming Bridges and Selley at the very pinnacle of offshore racing.
