Kegan Caull produced a ruthless first-half hat-trick as Saint Lucia dispatched Bermuda 5-2 in their Concacaf Nations League encounter at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.
The hosts ran riot inside the opening half-hour in Gros Islet. Caull rose highest to head home a 15th-minute corner, before doubling the advantage just three minutes later with a sharp finish. The forward completed his 20-minute treble in the 35th minute to leave the Bermuda defence reeling at 3-0 down.
Ajani Burchall offered the visitors a lifeline deep into first-half stoppage time, nodding past Vino Barclett to reduce the arrears before the interval.
However, Saint Lucia snuffed out any hopes of a fightback early in the second period. Shevon Byron restored the three-goal cushion on 53 minutes, and veteran Kurt Frederick added a fifth in the 68th minute.
Bermuda substitute Riley Robinson pulled one back almost immediately after coming off the bench, but Saint Lucia navigated the closing stages with ease to seal an emphatic victory.
