The free event takes place today from 11 am to 3 pm

The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI) is inviting the public to celebrate World Water Day with a free open house today from 11 am to 3 pm. This year’s theme, “Save Our Glaciers,” highlights the importance of preserving glaciers and protecting Earth’s frozen water resources for future generations.
Visitors of all ages are encouraged to participate in a range of exciting and educational activities such as water-themed science experiments, sensory play stations, and creative crafts. There will also be plenty to explore in BUEI’s Ocean Discovery Centre.
Underscoring the significance of the observation, a BUEI spokesperson stated: “World Water Day is a global celebration that highlights the importance of water and raises awareness about the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. This day encourages everyone to take action to address the global water crisis and supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.”
