Until we hear from International Business on the idea of full CARICOM membership, many of us need to hold our tongues.
So says economist Craig Simmons, who has urged Bermudians not to take a position on the matter until we have more information on the pros and cons of going all-in with CARICOM – and an opinion from our economy-driving IB sector.
Craig Simmons adds that the potential costs must be put it in context related to other budgeted Government costs, and he urges caution when looking at the potential cost per capita of CARICOM membership.
