At least one of the four suspects in the shooting were injured during the shootings
One of the suspects connected to Thursday night’s double murder was injured during the incident, Police said.
Acting Superintendent Jason Smith provided an update on Saturday afternoon appealing for additional information related to the crime that claimed the life of a 33 -year-old woman and a 29 year-old man, injuring three others.
It happened around 10.30pm at the Legend’s Bar on Somerset Road in Sandy’s parish where three men were captured on CCTV footage entering the establishment and opening fire ‘indiscriminately’ inside the bar, police told media on Friday.
It’s understood at least 14 patrons were inside the bar at the time of the shootings.
One of the patrons injured were treated and discharged from hospital while the two other injured victims remain in hospital.
The identity of the two deceased has not yet been revealed by the authorities.
Police said the four suspects traveled on two separate bikes and fled the area in a westerly direction from the scene following the fatal incident.
