Of the serious crashes, one left a motorcycle hanging from a tree branch
Police reported “no fewer than six serious road traffic collisions” over the weekend.
In a post to social media, the Bermuda Police Service said the crashes happened on Saturday night and into the early hours of Sunday morning, with one resulting in a motorcycle left hanging from a tree branch.
“Yes, you read that right, the bike was hanging from a tree branch,” the post read.
It was confirmed that the rider of that particular incident had serious but not life threatening injuries.
The weekend activity prompted police to issue a warning to motorists. The post further stated: “Once again, please slow down, don’t drive while impaired, avoid using handheld devices and doing your makeup while driving. The life you save could well be your own.”
