Police Commissioner praises search effort after young boy found safe and well
Commissioner of Police, Darrin Simons – “It is important to comment and commend the way several members of our Bermuda community, as well as members of the local media, came together to assist police officers in searching for the 8-year-old boy, Wednesday evening (7th January 2026), in Sandys parish.
The spirit of care and cooperation shown embodied Bermuda at its best; where people from diverse backgrounds quickly unite to help, because it is the right thing to do.
To everyone that participated in Wednesday evening’s Somerset area search, including my Bermuda Police Service colleagues; I share a sincere thank you.
