Bermudian equestrian Tyler James enjoyed an exceptional fortnight at Bruce’s Field in Aiken, South Carolina, claiming multiple victories across the Aiken Summerfest I & II Horse Shows.
Guided by coach Wendy Arndt and Team I.E.C., James showcased remarkable versatility across several divisions aboard three different mounts.
His emerging partnership with new mount Case Closed 441 proved particularly fruitful. The pair captured the 1.20m Junior/Amateur Jumper division championship, before stepping up to the technical 1.30m classes in week two to finish first in the Junior/Amateur Jumper, second in the Junior/Amateur Classic, and third in the prestigious National Junior/Amateur Classic.
Alongside long-term partner Vino Blanco 441, James secured victory in the Open Hunter class and posted two ninth-place finishes in the USHJA National Hunter Derby. Promising young horse Zero to Sixty completed the winning sweep, collecting first-place finishes in both the 0.90m Open Jumper and 1.0m Jumper events.
