Want fewer power outages during rough weather? You may want to invite your neighbours to pitch-in for an underground cable project with BELCO.
It’s an option, according to the utility but a costly one, and it doesn’t guarantee an end to power outages.
About a decade ago, BELCO said an island wide underground cable system could cost the firm around $375 million.
