Authorities confirming fire was set with malicious intent

Bermuda Police Service update via press release:
Around 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, police received a report of a vehicle fire in the area of the former Arnold’s Supermarket in Sandys.
Police along with Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service (BFRS) responded and upon arrival observed a minibus fully engulfed.
The flames were eventually extinguished by BFRS staff and a subsequent investigation confirmed the fire was maliciously set.
This matter is now under investigation and anyone with information, or who may have seen any suspicious persons or activity in the area prior to or, shortly after the fire was first seen, is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Seymour Foote on 717-2282 or via email at, sfoote@bps.bm
