BWS warns of heavy rain, gale-force winds from Saturday afternoon through Sunday
Residents are advised to be cautious as a strong winter gale moves toward the island this weekend. The Bermuda Weather Service reports that a complex low-pressure system will move in tomorrow, with conditions rapidly deteriorating from Saturday afternoon through Sunday as gale-force winds develop, along with rain and showers that could become heavy at times.
Michelle Pitcher, consultant with the BWS, provided a breakdown of what residents can expect.
Meanwhile, BELCO says its crews are standing by to respond should the weather result in any power outages.
