White ready for lift-off as JAKROO Handsling launch 2026 season

Bermuda’s national road race champion Conor White is set to officially kick off his 2026 cycling campaign with British outfit JAKROO Handsling Racing soon, as the team hosts its official unveiling in London.

The highly anticipated launch will take place on Friday, January 16th, providing fans and partners with an exclusive first look at a squad that carries significant ambitions for both the UK domestic scene and European UCI competition. The Roubaix London Bicycle Workshop in Fulham will serve as the hub for the festivities, where White will join his new teammates and management to mark the start of the new cycling year.

For White, the move to the elite British squad represents a vital step in his professional development. After a breakout 2025 season—which saw him reclaim his Bermuda national road title and secure a dominant victory in the President’s Cup—the 26-year-old was forced to find a new home after his previous team, Muc-Off–SRCT–Storck, disbanded due to funding challenges.

The 2026 calendar is expected to be a demanding one. JAKROO Handsling is targeting a comprehensive schedule including the National Road Series, National Criterium Series, and selected UCI 1.2 and 2.2 races across Europe. White’s versatility as a powerhouse time trialist and a capable climber makes him a strategic asset for the team’s international ambitions.

Following the formal launch, the team will hit the road for a challenging 100-kilometer “Team Ride Out” on Saturday, January 17th. This public event offers a unique opportunity for cycling enthusiasts to roll alongside the professional peloton and experience the preparation that goes into an elite season.

Beyond the road, White is also keeping one eye on the boards. He is slated to represent Bermuda at the Pan American Track Championships in Santiago this February, becoming the first cyclist from the island to compete at that level in the velodrome.
