Bermudian professional Daniel Augustus produced a determined second-round fightback to claw his way up the leaderboard at the Clutch Pro Tour Tier 2 Championship in Surrey.
The Ocean View professional faced an uphill battle after a punishing opening 18 holes at Clandon Regis Golf Club, where an 11-over-par 83 left him languishing in a tie for 70th.
However, Augustus demonstrated plenty of resolve on day two, stripping ten strokes off his previous total with a disciplined one-over-par 73.
His final-round effort featured three birdies and 11 pars against four dropped shots, navigating the Surrey parkland layout in far sharper control.
The turnaround earned Augustus a 14-place jump up the final standings, finishing in a tie for 56th to salvage a testing outing on the UK developmental circuit.
