Clarien Bank has announced the start of its 18th annual Holiday GiveBack Campaign, which supports Meals on Wheels.
Since its inception in 2010, the campaign has raised in excess of $120,000, directly helping the sick, elderly, and disabled.
A press released from the bank stated that Meals on Wheels “delivers not only hundreds of nutritious meals four times weekly but also provides an all-important check-in that often brightens each recipients’ day”.
Michael DeCouto, Clarien Bank’s EVP, Chief Digital & Marketing Officer, said: “The Holiday GiveBack Campaign … is an opportunity to touch lives, foster hope and provide sustenance beyond monetary means. Our long-standing partnership with Meals on Wheels underscores this mission, proving that together, we can turn challenges into chances for positive change.”
There are three ways to donate: online, by quick deposit – and by participating in the Gibbons Charity Day on Thursday, December 19, by donating $5 at Gibbons Company or The Gibbons Home Store, and receive 25% off your purchase of regularly priced items.
The Clarien Foundation will match all donations up to $10,000.
Jason Powell, President of Meals on Wheels, said: “Each holiday season, we see a heartwarming surge in community collaboration, and the generous donation from Clarien Bank’s GiveBack programme is instrumental in sustaining our efforts. With the heightened demand during this time of year, your generosity enables us to meet the increased need for our services, ensuring no member of our community goes without a meal or a friendly visit.”
Donations are requested by 4 pm on Tuesday, December 31.
