Governor Andrew Murdoch takes part in annual royal tradition for the first time
Bermuda-grown Easter Lilies have once again made their way to Windsor Castle.
The annual cherished tradition sees the Governor of Bermuda select Easter Lilies as a floral gift for King Charles.
Governor Rena Lalgie’s successor, Andrew Murdoch, took part in his first official picking this year at Windybank Farm in Smith’s.
The bouquet of lilies departed on Tuesday’s British Airways flight to London and arrived safely at Windsor Castle yesterday, in time for Good Friday.
Government House extended its thanks to Malcolm and Benn Smith, the British Airways team, and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources for “facilitating this long-standing tradition”.
