The Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) is showcasing the island’s award-winning dive experiences at DEMA Show 2026, taking place November 3–6 in New Orleans. Through a dedicated Bermuda exhibition booth, the Authority is engaging with the international dive community, strengthening industry relationships and promoting opportunities to experience Bermuda’s distinctive underwater attractions in 2027 and beyond.

Bermuda’s return to DEMA comes as the island celebrates 10 honours in the Caribbean/Atlantic region of Scuba Diving magazine’s 2027 Readers Choice Awards, including a Top 5 ranking for Best Wreck Diving and a Top 10 ranking for Best Cave/Cavern Diving.

The island was also recognised among the region’s best for overall dive destination, big animals, healthy marine environment, beginner diving, advanced diving, macro life, underwater photography and snorkelling.

Known as the Shipwreck Capital of the Atlantic, Bermuda is home to more than 300 known shipwrecks, healthy coral reefs and dramatic underwater formations. Combined with the island’s beaches, culture, dining and hospitality, these experiences make Bermuda an appealing destination for divers and their travelling companions alike.

“Bermuda has an extraordinary story beneath the surface, shaped by centuries of maritime history and an underwater world unlike anywhere else,” said Michael DeCouto, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at the Bermuda Tourism Authority. “Our return to DEMA allows us to share that story with the international dive community, build valuable industry relationships and create opportunities that benefit Bermuda’s wider tourism sector. With growing recognition for our dive experiences, we’re focused on turning that interest into future visitation and meaningful business for the island.”

Throughout the four-day event, Bermuda’s dedicated exhibition space will showcase the island’s dive experiences and tourism offerings, supported by destination-branded giveaways and opportunities for engagement with dive travel professionals. BTA is also collaborating with dive and luxury travel specialist SEL Concepts to connect with international buyers and explore new opportunities for the destination.

Among the offerings being promoted are exhibition special Stay, Dine and Dive packages developed by Dive Bermuda and Grotto Bay Beach Resort & Spa, combining accommodation, dining and diving to appeal to specialist travel groups.

Bermuda’s presence at DEMA will also spotlight Bermuda Dive Fest, taking place April 20–25, 2027, which will bring together divers, local operators, marine enthusiasts and visitors to celebrate the island’s underwater heritage. The event represents another opportunity to encourage spring visitation, support local businesses and strengthen Bermuda’s position in the international dive tourism market. More information is available at www.bermudadivefest.com.

Following DEMA, BTA will continue working with industry stakeholders to build on new trade connections, support future bookings and strengthen demand for Bermuda’s dive experiences beyond the traditional peak season.
