Chubb Triangle Challenge: Podium finishes for local heroes

Bermudian runner Dage Minors took silver in the BF&M 10k race

After finishing just outside the podium in Friday’s Butterfield mile, Bermuda’s premier middle-distance runner, Dage Minors, bounced back in the BF& M 10K.

He claimed silver in a personal best time of 31:07 on Saturday.

American Andrew Wacker took gold in the event, breaking the course record by 56 seconds, with Danny Cosgrove, runner-up in the Butterfield mile on Friday taking bronze behind Minors on Saturday.

On Sunday, Minors took his 2nd silver of the weekend in the PWC Bermuda Half Marathon, finishing runner-up to American Andrew Wacker once again.

In the women’s races, local favourite and reigning 24th of May Half Marathon Darby Champion, Gayle Lindsay, bounced back from 8th and 4th place finishes on Friday and Saturday to take bronze in Sunday’s PWC Bermuda Half Marathon.

Ellie Stevens and Anna Vess who have dominated proceedings in the women’s events all weekend, took gold and silver in Sunday’s race respectively.
