The Curtis L. Dickinson Campaign responds to the latest development from the Progressive Labour Party regarding the ongoing court proceedings.
“We welcome this new development from the Party which follows the communication we shared with PLP Parliamentary colleagues late yesterday. We are grateful that the Party consents to the relief we seek and we look forward to attending before the Court to formalize the now uncontested orders that we seek.
While this is a positive development, important legal and procedural matters remain before the Court and must be properly resolved before these proceedings can come to an end.
Given that these issues remain, we do not believe it would be appropriate to set them out or argue them through the media. They should be addressed through the proper legal process and with the benefit of the Court’s consideration.
From the outset, our objective has been to achieve clarity, fairness and respect for the Party’s Constitution and the rights of its members. We continue to be committed to moving forward together as a one Party.”
