Team Bermuda dominates Guadeloupe in St Maarten
Bermuda experienced a day of mixed fortunes at the Battle of the Isles Netball Tournament, suffering a heavy defeat to a dominant Canadian side before rallying with a resounding victory.
In their opening fixture of Day Two, Bermuda faced a strong Canadian team, ultimately falling to a 71-32 loss. Canada’s superiority was evident across the match, with them restricting Bermuda to just 11 goals in the second half.
However, Bermuda showed excellent resilience to bounce back immediately. Following a boat journey to St Maarten, the team took on Guadeloupe and delivered a truly emphatic performance. They secured a massive 82-12 victory, demonstrating their ability to recover swiftly from a setback.
This impressive win ensures Bermuda finished Day Two with a strong positive result, maintaining their fight in the tournament.
