Sprinter Miles Outerbridge has delivered a standout performance at the Florida High School Athletic Association State Track & Field Championships. Representing Montverde Academy, Outerbridge showcased his impressive speed, securing two silver medals in the highly competitive varsity boys’ sprint events.
In the 100m Dash, Outerbridge blazed to second place, clocking a swift 10.68 seconds against some of Florida’s top young sprinters. He then followed this up with another silver medal in the 200m Dash, stopping the clock in 21.12 seconds.
Adding to his workload, Outerbridge also ran the third leg for the Montverde Academy boys’ 4 x 400m relay team, who finished a creditable 16th in a strong field.
Outerbridge’s double silver medal achievement at this prestigious state championship is a clear indication of his talent, hard work, and potential as a rising star in the world of athletics, and will be a source of great pride back home in Bermuda.
