Questions linger over Corporate Tax revenues

Ahead of the Budget, Economist is unconvinced about the touted revenue figures

Economist Craig Simmons wants more clarity over Government’s plans to clear the national debt.

Our debt service – paying the interest on our loans – is currently around $127 million dollars every year.

That’s similar to the annual taxpayer cost of the Ministry of National Security – including the Police and Fire Services.

In the interview above, Mr Simmons argues that we still don’t have a picture of what the Corporate Income Tax may, or may not, contribute to our economy.
