Police say the arrests were made as ‘proactive patrols’ continue

Shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, 7th June 2026, police officers were conducting stop and search operations on Crow Lane, near Lane Hill, Pembroke, when they stopped a motorcar travelling east, driven by a 22-year-old male.
Checks revealed the driver was not licensed to operate a motorcar.
While dealing with that matter, it was discovered that the driver had an outstanding warrant showing in the system.
He was subsequently arrested and conveyed to the police station, where he was detained.
Dangerous Driving/Bladed Article Arrest – Around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, 6th June 2026, police officers were on mobile patrol in the area of Frog Lane, Devonshire when they observed a motorcycle travelling in a southerly direction, at a high rate of speed.
Officers followed the motorcycle as it continued at high speed towards Montpelier Road, before making a right-hand turn onto Middle Road, in a western direction.
Officers activated their emergency equipment, but the rider failed to stop and instead went the wrong way down Lane Hill, before coming to a stop on East Broadway.
A search of the rider, a 28-year-old male, led to the recovery of a knife concealed in his waistband.
He was subsequently arrested for dangerous driving and carrying an offensive weapon in public.
It is anticipated that the subject will appear before the courts in due course.
