Police statement:
There has been a serious road traffic collision involving a motorcar and two motorcycles on Middle Road, just east of the junction with Chaingate Hill, Devonshire.
Details are limited at this time, but it is understood two individuals have sustained non-life-threatening injuries and have been transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, for further treatment.
The collision scene is currently being processed and the roadway closed with traffic diversions at Middle Road and Chaingate Hill, as well as Middle Road and Hermitage Road.
Motorists are urged to approach these diversion points with caution and follow the instructions of police officers assisting with traffic flow.
Police update at 8.30pm:
The roadway has been reopened to regular traffic flow. Thank you for your patience and cooperation while the collision scene was processed.
