
Bermuda’s young swimmers, representing the Baylor Swimming Club, delivered a strong set of performances at the 2025 NAC Timedrop Music City Invite in Nashville, competing successfully against top US age-group swimmers.
The team’s standout performance came from Gabriel Maranzana in the 13–14 Age Group. Maranzana captured the A Final title in the 50-yard Freestyle with a time of 22.44, and won the B Final of the 200-yard Freestyle. He also secured a second-place finish in the A Final of the 100-yard Freestyle.
Katherine Wheddon reached a championship final, advancing to the B Final of the 100-yard Freestyle where she placed 8th in 55.12. Violet Smith also reached the C Final in the 200-yard Backstroke, finishing 8th in 2:11.04 after setting a Personal Best time in preliminaries.
In a great comeback story, Noah Maranzana, returning from shoulder surgery, finished 6th in the C Final of the 100-yard Freestyle. Additionally, Maggie Mewett placed 8th in the C Final of the 50-yard Freestyle. The team’s multiple finalists and podium finishes underscored Bermuda’s growing depth in swimming.
