Bermuda has made a strong, undefeated start to the Battle of the Isles Netball Tournament in the Caribbean, securing two dominant victories on the opening day.
Their first match was a demonstration of resilience against co-hosts St Maarten. Bermuda trailed for the first half, facing a seven-goal deficit at one stage. However, a stunning second-half turnaround saw them surge back to win comfortably, 42-30.
Building on that momentum, Bermuda secured a comprehensive second victory later in the day, defeating St Eustatius with an emphatic 59-29 scoreline.
The scoring effort against St Eustatius was led by Jahkenya Trott with 27 goals, ably supported by Zakiyah Durham who added 20 goals, and Kezhari Knight with 12. Bermuda now looks ahead to the rest of the tournament with a perfect record.
