Bermuda takeover in Texas: Lambe and Roach set for showdowns

The “Space Coast” won’t be the only place seeing stars this June, as Bermuda’s premier boxing talent prepares to descend on Galveston, Texas, for a high-stakes night of professional pugilism.

On June 6th, the island’s fighting pride will be on full display as Andre Lambe and Adrian Roach share a professional card for the first time. While the venue shifts to the Gulf Coast, the mission remains the same: clinical dominance on the international stage.

Andre Lambe enters the ring not just as a competitor, but as a champion. The Bermudian southpaw will put his ABO North American Welterweight Championship belt on the line in the evening’s co-main event.

Lambe has declared himself to be in the finest form of his career, following a grueling training camp designed to push his “technical soundness” to a new peak. Known for his clinical accuracy, Lambe believes his timing and precision have reached an all-time high after a series of high-intensity sparring sessions.

“Technically sound like this, this is the sharpest I’ve been leading up to a fight,” Lambe stated. Beyond the tactical “sweet science,” the champion highlighted significant jumps in his physical metrics, from weight management to raw stamina, ensuring he is ready for the intensity Galveston demands.

On the undercard, the rising Adrian Roach faces perhaps the stiffest test of his young career. Carrying a perfect 2-0 record, Roach is set to clash with the undefeated Jerrell Mayweather, who enters the ring at 5-0.

Billed as “AR-15 vs. The Grim Reaper,” the fight is a testament to Roach’s desire for elite competition. After two potential “journeyman” opponents withdrew, Roach’s team proactively sought out Mayweather to ensure a true “step up”.

“We asked for this. We asked for the challenge,” Roach said, anticipating an “all-out war” against an opponent he knows will not “lay down”.
