Bermuda is set to make history this weekend as the Bermuda Volleyball Association (BVA) hosts the inaugural National Beach Volleyball Championships.
The landmark event, which coincides with the BVA’s 50th Anniversary, will take place on Saturday, August 9, at Coral Beach. The tournament will feature the island’s top male and female beach volleyball athletes, including members of the Bermuda National Beach Volleyball Teams, all competing for the prestigious title of National Champion.
Organizers have promised a high-energy atmosphere with a dedicated centre court to showcase the best matches. Event organizer Meagan McPeek said the event is “a celebration of the incredible growth of beach volleyball in Bermuda,” and an opportunity for the community to support the sport at a national level.
