A squad of Bermudian Walking Football enthusiasts is set to embark on a memorable three-match tour to the UK, where they will face the walking football teams of three major Premier League clubs: Liverpool, Everton, and Manchester City.
The tour offers the twelve-player contingent a chance to test their skills against established sides in the fast-growing, low-impact version of the beautiful game.
The unique sport, which strictly prohibits running, allows players—primarily those over 50—to rediscover their love for football while relying on tactical intelligence and skill rather than speed.
The travelling squad includes players such as John Miranda, Gordon Stewart, and Michael Bean, and they are looking forward to the challenge.
