Dylan Peart celebrates milestone with drum solo and virtual ceremony while receiving treatment abroad
Bermudian student Dylan Peart, of Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy, recently graduated from his hospital room in Boston via a special Zoom ceremony.
Dylan, who has a rare genetic disorder, has spent the past eight months abroad receiving care and rehabilitation.
Despite the distance, his parents and staff at Franciscan Children’s Hospital ensured he didn’t miss out – complete with pomp and ceremony.
He even treated classmates to a drum solo, the result of many music therapy sessions.
