The Bermuda Hospitals Board (BHB) has issued an urgent public advisory advising residents that the current Digicel outage is affecting 911 emergency calls.
Members of the public experiencing a medical emergency are being asked to contact the Emergency Department directly at 239-1301 while the disruption continues.
BHB said it will provide a further update once 911 services have been restored.
Residents are encouraged to use the temporary emergency number only for urgent medical emergencies until normal service resumes.
