Representatives from the PLP, OBA, FDM and Independent are vying for a seat in constituency 14
Four candidates and newcomers to the political fray have thrown their hat in the ring in Devonshire North West, C14 in this General Election.
Its one of many constituencies in this election where more than the traditional two-party candidates are vying for a seat in Parliament.
At the polling station at Prospect Primary School, we spoke with the PLP’s Alexa Lightbourne who has been handed the proverbial torch by Wayne Caines said he would not run this year.
Independent Noelle Young, an environmentalist and human rights activist, the opposition One Bermuda Alliance’s David Rogers and the FDM’s Kyle Bridgewater greeted voters at the poll.
Mr. Caines held this seat defeating the OBA’s Catherine Kempe in 2020 by 454 to 222 votes.
