Former Finance Minister Curtis Dickinson reflects on the groundwork that had to be done to develop the Corporate Income Tax after Bermuda’s ‘hand was forced’ by the OECD

The man who laid the groundwork for the Corporate Income Tax acknowledges that Bermuda’s ‘hand was forced’ by the OECD – but it worked out for us.

Curtis Dickinson, PLP MP and Finance Minister from November 2018 to February 2022, says they were concerned about the impact of the tax, but they worked alongside International Business for the best outcome.
