Dramatic draw as Fishel’s Reign and Nesbeth’s Stars share spoils 

Mia Fishel’s Seattle Reign FC and Leilanni Nesbeth’s Chicago Stars FC battled to a thrilling 3-3 draw at Lumen Field on Monday night, with the hosts surrendering a three-goal lead in a captivating National Women’s Soccer League clash.

The Reign raced into a commanding position with goals from Jess Fishlock and Jordyn Huitema in the first half, followed by an early second-half tally from Emeri Adames to make it 3-0. However, the visiting Stars mounted a remarkable comeback, scoring three unanswered goals to level the match and secure a valuable point on the road.

The match featured two Bermudian players. Forward Mia Fishel entered the game for Seattle in the second half, while compatriot Leilanni Nesbeth, who has recovered from a hip injury, was an unused substitute for Chicago.

Following the dramatic draw, Seattle remains in sixth place in the NWSL standings with 26 points, while the Chicago Stars are in 13th with nine points.
