Michael Fahy, the OBA’s Shadow Minister of Housing & Municipalities and Home Affairs, believes the PLP Government needs to provide more clarity on plans for Morgan’s Point.
The Morgan’s Point Development Company was set up in December 2022, and Mr Fahy thinks very little of substance has taken place since then.
Mr Fahy was a part of the OBA Government that oversaw the failed Caroline Bay development at the site, and he fields questions about the $165 million-dollar guarantee that was ultimately lumped on Bermudian taxpayers.
He also suggests priority should be given to creating affordable housing at the site, as part of plans to “get people properly housed with dignity.”
