Bermudian Olympian Erica Hawley delivered a strong, consistent performance to finish 28th in the Elite Women’s Championship Final at the 2025 World Triathlon Championships in Wollongong, Australia.
Competing against the globe’s best on the challenging Cove Beach course, Hawley crossed the line with a total time of 2 hours, 1 minute, and 38 seconds (2:01:38). Germany’s Lisa Tertsch claimed the World Championship title with a winning time of 1:56:50.
Hawley’s race was built on solid segment times: a competitive swim of 20:11 positioned her well, followed by a sustained effort on the 40km bike (1:02:35), and capped by a sub-38 minute run (37:38).
The 28th-place finish in her first Elite World Championship Final is a valuable result, providing crucial experience as she continues to compete at the highest level of the sport.
