The University of Tennessee has secured a major coup for its Class of 2026, officially announcing the signing of Bermudian four-star basketball prospect, Ralph Scott.
The 6-foot-8 wing, who attends IMG Academy in Florida, arrives in Knoxville as a unanimous four-star recruit and is ranked as a top-40 player in the US by major scouting services.
Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes hailed Scott’s immense potential, calling him a “legit 6-foot-8 wing with long arms who possesses both a tremendous feel for the game and an impressive ability to shoot.”
Scott’s stock soared this summer after he earned MVP honours at the Basketball Without Borders Americas camp—the first Bermudian ever to compete in the event’s 14-year history.
Choosing Tennessee over high-level programmes like Houston and Purdue, Scott is believed to be the first men’s basketball player from Bermuda to commit to a Division I programme of this stature, marking a landmark moment for basketball development on the island.
