The Bermuda Olympic Association (BOA) has announced the reappointment of veteran administrator Jon Beard as Chef de Mission for Team Bermuda at the XXV Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in 2026.
The Games will run from July 24 to August 8, 2026, marking the centennial celebration of the multi-sport event.
This is Beard’s third appointment to the prestigious leadership role, following his successful tenures at the 2018 and 2022 CAC Games.
BOA President Peter Dunne praised the decision, stating: “His experience, leadership, and dedication to our athletes were evident in El Salvador, and we have every confidence he will once again lead Team Bermuda with distinction.”
Mr. Beard, who will oversee all operational aspects and athlete welfare for the delegation, called the role “an honour,” and committed to ensuring athletes have the necessary support to “perform at their best while proudly representing Bermuda.”
