At last check, 260 customers are out in Devonshire, 151 in Smith’s, 40 in Pembroke
Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited (BELCO) today advised that severe weather is currently impacting the island and a lightning strike is the likely cause of an outage in Smiths and Devonshire that has impacted a large number of customers.
BELCO crews have been dispatched and are currently investigating the cause in order to make repairs. However, should overhead line crews need to make repairs they must wait until the weather subsides before they can begin restoring power safely.
