Moongate Brewing Company – the east end’s newest hospitality venue – was rocking last night as it hosted its first St. Patrick’s Day bash.
Hundreds showed up at Penno’s Wharf on a gloriously sunny Saturday for a full day and evening of entertainment which included live music, Irish dancing and, of course, lots of beer.
The hosts laid on a mini-bus service from Hamilton and at peak times, customers were four-deep at the bar amid a jovial atmosphere that spilled out onto a broad, waterside terrace.
The St. Patrick’s Day festivities at Moongate continue today – and at other pubs and bars across the island.
