Minister of Transport Wayne Furbert has officially signed the Passenger Ships Permits in accordance with The Passenger Ships Act 1972, for all cruise ships scheduled to arrive in Bermuda during the 2025 cruise ship season.
A government press release states that since the initial publication of the 2025 cruise ship schedule in late 2024, two ship calls have been cancelled.
The revised estimates now include 177 cruise calls, with a projected total of 510,250 passengers expected to visit Bermuda in 2025.
Minister Furbert expressed his optimism about the upcoming season, stating: “We are excited to welcome visitors from around the world to experience the beauty and hospitality of Bermuda. The cruise ship industry is a vital part of our tourism sector, and we are committed to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all passengers.”
