New vision laid out for TCD

Digitization aims to streamline services

Changes on the road ahead: TCD

Less paperwork, greater accuracy – and access after hours.
A new vision for the Transport Control Department laid out today by Owen Darrell, Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport.
Mr. Darrell told the House of Assembly that the digitization of TCD will re-define how people interact with government services.
As promised in the 2024 Throne Speech, the move will see TCD make a complete transformation from manual to fully digital operations.
Starting on March the 31st, TCD will begin rolling out its digital applications, in what Minister Darrell described as a “big step to reducing red tape and enhancing services”.
Outdated and redundant procedures will be eliminated, and digitization of services will include drivers’ licences, Project Ride, window tint, trailer permits, registration of classic cars and learners’ permits.
Minister Darrell said the changes will also reduce the environmental impact of paper usage.
